Literature Text

I was a queen once,
strong,
and noble

Nose thin,
forehead high,
I ruled with a gaze like melted steel.

Shoulders back,
chest center,
I made sure that my language was clear- and my books were in french

Fingers nimble,
skin pale,
I knocked my foes down like chess pieces, watching them fall from power and break
on the gold of my throne

But now I'm just a girl
With bowed lips
and a hunched back

and hurt pride

and the words that fall from my lips
land ignored, on ignorant ears
that used to serve me

but now-
they rise.

I used to be a queen
but I'm only a servant
of a new world where my crown is ash,

and my tongue
is broken.
This is pretty simple. And moderatly boring.
I dunno what to say.

Been listening to this a whole lot --> [link]

I say it is nicely done, I did enjoy the imagery.
